State Room Restaurant Wins Best of Award of Excellence

Spartan Hospitality Group at Michigan State University is proud to announce that the State Room Restaurant, inside of the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, is a recipient of Wine Spectator Magazine’s "Best of Award of Excellence" for the eleventh consecutive year.

According to Wine Spectator, “To qualify for this award, a wine list must present complete, accurate information, including vintages and appellations for all selections.” Recipients of this award typically offer over 350 selections of wine as well as show a deep passion for wine, service and presentation. Wine Spectator gives this award to venues with a wine list that features many varieties of regions, grapes, and producers complemented by an excellent presentation.

The State Room is one of 1,093 restaurants nationally to receive Wine Spectator’s second-tier award, Best of Award of Excellence. They are also only one of 10 venues in Michigan to receive this award and the only site in the Capital Regional area to have this honor. Boasting over 400 selections of wine by the bottle and 18 by the glass offerings, the State Room retains this prestigious honor once again.
