If you have not had a chance to visit the International Center recently, make lunch plans to dine at QUE – the new in-house-developed barbecue concept venue at Crossroads Food Court. The space occupied by QUE was once UP Pizzeria, a venue the campus community can find at MSU Union Food Court as well.
The decision to change from pizza to a barbecue concept for the location was based on careful observation of trends and customer feedback. During the first two months since opening in January, the venue has seen about a 23 percent increase in traffic.
QUE empowers the customer to personalize their barbecue-style entrée, choosing from 11 sauce options like BBQ chipotle and Sweet Baby Rays. The menu features a vegetarian Grilled Jackfruit Sandwich, Mac and Cheese with choice of meat topping, Smoked Michigan Turkey Sandwich, Smoked Brisket Sandwich and Slow-roasted Pulled Pork Sandwich.
To accompany their entrée, guests have their choice of specialty coleslaw made with vinaigrette, savory baked beans, a corn muffin, mac and cheese, or kettle chips. Beverage options include Michigan-made Faygo canned soda, Arizona tea, bottled water or fountain selections.
Dining plan holders have the option of redeeming their Combo-X-Change at the venue as well, allowing them to grab a meal on the go.
The new venue is open Monday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Crossroads Food Court is located inside the International Center at 427 N. Shaw Lane in East Lansing.
