Five Years Later: Revisiting the Strategic Plan

In May, consultants from Hanbury Evans Wright + Vlattas returned to campus to begin the process of reviewing the RHS strategic plan progress. A lot of work has been accomplished since launching the plan in 2008 and now, five years in, it's time to revisit the plan to make sure the plan is still on the right track. It's also a time to make necessary adjustments as several things have happened since 2008: economic downturns, the advent of Neighborhoods and a consolidated Campus Living Services and Residence Life.

Next week, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 26th and 27th, the consultants will be back to dive deeper into group discussions. Over the course of the two days sessions will be held to discuss numerous topics including:

  • Sustainability in RHS
  • Integrated Dining
  • Engagement Centers
  • Defining the Spartan Experience
  • SHG Strategic Plan
  • Retail Dining Plan
  • University Apartments
  • Technology as Strategy
  • Future Projects
  • The MSU Union

Discussions will take place with key campus partners and leaders, and a broad cross section of divisional staff will take part in discussions that will contribute to a revised and re-focused RHS Strategic Plan.

The revised draft is due to be presented to the MSU Board of Trustees in December of 2012.
