About the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services
The Division of Residential and Hospitality Services provides quality support and auxiliary services to Michigan State University students, the campus community and the general public. Operating and maintaining the nation's largest single-campus residence hall system, a full-service, award-winning hotel and restaurant, interior design services, golf courses and much more, the Division touches nearly every aspect of MSU's campus.
The Division employs approximately 800 full-time and 600 part-time employees. We also employ nearly 3,300 students on an annual basis.
In order to meet our primary goal of Delivering Outstanding Spartan Experiences, we have adopted a core set of values that guide our business practices. Focusing on the people we serve, the purpose for which serve them and the practices we use, our values get to the heart of our contributions to Michigan State University.
The Division of Residential and Hospitality Services includes seven departments (Auxiliary Resources, Campus Living Services, Culinary Services, Human Resources, Information Services, Marketing Communications and Spartan Hospitality Group) along with the offices of Strategic Initiatives, the Assistant Vice President Vennie Gore and the Chief Financial Officer.
