South Pointe at Case Hall is now open to the public! The new dining hall features five venues – Bliss, for desserts and treats; Great Lakes Plate, for Michigan-grown entrées; Ciao!, for Italian-style cuisine; Brimstone Grille, for items hot off the grill; and S2, for salad and sushi. Upon entering the dining hall from either the north or south entrance, students are immediately immersed in the modern, yet homey atmosphere. The modernity of the new venues contrasts with the exposed-wooden ceilings, rustic light fixtures and intimate seating to create an exciting dining experience for students, faculty, staff and guests.

The ample seating space, which includes some raised seating areas, is decorated with large light fixtures. There are varying types of seating, including booths and small and large tables. The seating space near the north entrance features long gathering tables on a platform with large wooden light fixtures overhead. Also near the north entrance is seating space that can be sealed off if necessary. The space can be sealed off by glass doors on tracks. One wall in particular can be sealed off by a sliding glass door on tracks that is hidden by an old wooden door which was once used in West Circle. Natural lighting fills South Pointe’s expansive seating area with the western-most wall made entirely of windows.

The renovation at Case Hall also includes the construction of a new Sparty’s Café in North Case Hall. The new Sparty’s Café is now open and features high-top seating. It is located outside the north entrance of South Pointe.
